Day One Is Free for Smart Students

And the winner is... Diana Ceausu, a student of Political Sciences at the University of Bucharest, who graciously provided her musings on BitDefender. She'll be our guest at BrandCamp this Wednesday. There is no second winner, although we really wanted to find one. But don't despair, there's always a next edition of BrandCamp where you can try to get a free seat. Thanks to all who entered this contest!

True. If you are a college student with a passion for branding, you can gain free access to Day One at BrandCamp, November 22nd (that means great speakers and captivating topics, just like you’ve read here).

All you need to do is, of course, be as smart as you get and write an essay (2,500 words max) answering these two questions:

What is presently the biggest branding opportunity for a major brand in your country? How would you leverage this opportunity if you were the brand manager in charge?

Hurry up and send us your answers via email by Friday, November 17th. As always, the givers (Grapefruit and Evensys) will decide on who’s going to get the two free passes for Day One and let the world know on Monday, November 20th. We’ll look at the creativity, the grip you have on the real world, and the quality of your written discourse.

Oh, and the fine print follows just below.

Terms and Conditions

This contest is open to college students only. Potential winners will be required to produce evidence of their being presently enrolled in an accredited academic institution anywhere in the world. One pass good for the first day (November 22nd) at BrandCamp will be given to each of the winners by the event organizers. These passes are nominal. They cannot be transferred to another person or redeemed for money or any other type of compensation.

One entry (essay) per participant only. The winning essays will be published online with the permission of their authors, who will retain all ownership rights in their work. The deadline for submission is November 17, 2006.

Essays in either English or Romanian containing no more than 2,500 words can be submitted via email, as text files (that’s plain text, HTML, PDF or RTF), to office@grapefruit.ro. Essays may only contain text. All references to other types of media should be done via hyperlinks in the submitted document. Entrants who fail to comply with any of these terms and conditions will be automatically disqualified.
